Autumn teaching

On this module, you’ll explore creative methodologies for producing multimedia content within contemporary media practice for delivery in various realworld and online spaces, such as via:

  • social media platforms
  • gallery and museum spaces
  • Point of Sale.

Through a series of short experimental projects and tasks you’ll engage with a variety of:

  • digital tools
  • practical methods
  • critical frameworks.

You’ll focus on developing and understanding practical workflows and understanding how different media platforms can be explored and combined. You’ll engage with the changing nature of media production including the role of automation and AI.

The module will encourage exploration, iteration and independent skill development across:

  • photography
  • video
  • audio
  • communication
  • interactive design.

We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology. We’re planning to run these modules in the academic year 2026/27. However, there may be changes to these modules in response to feedback, staff availability, student demand or updates to our curriculum.
