Students with a disability can apply for a £500 bursary and get 1-2-1 supervision with a fitness instructor.

Â鶹ӳ»­sport offer up to six bursaries of £500 each year to provide students with a disability access to our fitness rooms and 1-2-1 supervision with a qualified fitness instructor. This is supported by the Â鶹ӳ»­ Fund and the Â鶹ӳ»­ Alumni Team and via the Disability Support Team. The bursary is there to provide support to individuals whom without that 1:1 support wouldn't be able to use the facilities or the fitness spaces safely.

Once you are registered with the disability support team, you will meet with a member of Â鶹ӳ»­sport to discuss your individual needs, requirements and interests. Potential areas of discussion beyond 1:1 support can also include:

• the most appropriate Â鶹ӳ»­sport membership option
• available fitness advice, guidance and support
• casual sporting opportunities, including our drop-in Active US programme
• our classes and courses programme
• club sport options (including outdoor pursuits, martial arts and the British Universities and Colleges Sports [BUCS] offer)
• our Sports Scholarship Scheme for talented athletes.
