Biography

Dr. Farah Alrajeh is a Research Associate in the Department of English (MAH) at the Βι¶ΉΣ³»­. An accomplished academic and author, her research expertise lies at the intersection of Comparative Literature, historiography, and the politics of memory, with a particular focus on how narrative shapes our understanding of history and conflict.

Dr. Alrajeh possesses a unique specialism bridging British, American, and Arabic literary traditions. Her academic journey reflects this global perspective, having completed an MA in American Black Literature (University of Baghdad) and an MA in Literary Theory (Kingston University) before earning her PhD from the Βι¶ΉΣ³»­.

Dr. Alrajeh's scholarship is deeply informed by an international teaching and research career spanning the University of Baghdad, the Βι¶ΉΣ³»­, and the Open University of Canada and North America. Beyond academia, she serves as the Head of Research and Outreach Coordinator for the UN (UNAMI-Iraq).

Committed to humanitarian service, Dr Alrjahe also provides pro-bono project management and expert interpretation services for the United Nations. Her volunteer work focuses on supporting displaced populations and individuals in need across Middle Eastern conflict zones, bridging the gap between academic expertise and direct humanitarian advocacy.
