Members of the centre participated in three recent conferences. Vinita Damodaran presented a paper in Singapore at the conference on Asian environments shaping the world: concepts of nature and environmental practice. Kate Showers, Don Funnell and the Lesotho team attended the world Congress of environmental History in Copenhagen, Denmark, August 4-8th 2009. Vinita Damodaran also participated in a workshop on the future of conservation, national consultation on critical wildlife habitats and community forest rights, 17th-19th August, WWF, New Delhi, India.
