The Βι¶ΉΣ³» has been awarded first place in two categories in this year’s .
Βι¶ΉΣ³» claimed top spot in both the International and Student Life categories, in the South East region. We were also ranked third in the region in the Career Prospects, Postgraduate, and Students' Union categories.
In the overall national rankings, Βι¶ΉΣ³» has risen 33 places to 39th in the UK. Our biggest national improvement was in Career Prospects, where we climbed 58 places to 32nd. We also improved on last year’s performance in eight other categories, including in the International category, which saw us rise 42 places to 19th in the UK.
The WUSCAs are the largest annual awards in the UK where the outcome is decided exclusively by students’ reviews across numerous categories.
Our Student Communications and Campaigns team has worked tirelessly with our student population for months to support and encourage them to submit reviews about their experience at Βι¶ΉΣ³». The student reviews are then collated by the WUSCA organisers to calculate the winners of the annual awards.
Βι¶ΉΣ³» was also runner-up nationally in the Mental Health and Wellbeing Support category of this year’s WUSCAs. This is based on the quality and range of support and mental health interventions offered to Βι¶ΉΣ³» students by our Wellbeing Services.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sasha Roseneil said: “I am very pleased to see how Βι¶ΉΣ³» has fared in this year’s WUSCAs, with improvements on last year’s positions in many categories. The results are recognition of the dedicated work that has been going on across the University to enhance the student experience, and world-readiness and employability, for all our students. Well done to everyone involved in teaching and supporting our students, and a particular thank you to the Communications colleagues who have encouraged students to write reviews of their time at Βι¶ΉΣ³».”
