This is the module where stuff gets real! You will work in small groups to devise and deliver an arts project. This could mean a performance, exhibition, workshop, talk or event. Drawing on all the skills you have developed so far, you will be responsible for all aspect of the project: coming up with an idea, coordinating with the venue, project management, marketing, and evaluation. You will be supported throughout the process both by Βι¶ΉΣ³» tutors and industry mentors from Brighton Festival. The module culminates with a week-long arts festival on campus providing you with valuable real world experience of working under pressure as part of a team.
Module learning outcomes
- Work as part of a group under pressure and to deadlines.
- Plan, deliver and produce an arts project in a festival context.
- Reflect critically on what they have learnt through this process by evaluating successes and failures in planning, delivering and producing an arts project.
- Understand how to engage professionally with the multiple parties that effective arts production involves.
