Welcome to the South Coast Biosciences DTP (SoCoBio) at the Âé¶¹Ó³»­. 

is a Doctoral Training  Partnership lead by the University of Southampton partnered with the , , Âé¶¹Ó³»­ and . It is funded by the (BBSRC) part of UKRI (UK Research and Innovation).

As a SoCoBio researcher, your training programme will include:

  • Two lab rotations with different supervisors (1st year)
  • Data Management training (1st year)
  • Business and Entrepreneurship summer school (1st year)
  • Industrial Biotechnology summer school (2nd year)
  • Science Communication summer school (3rd year)
  • A three-month placement outside academia (“PIPS”)
  • Opportunities to present your research at an annual conference
