Module Outline

Social Enterprises have been important actors to address societal grand challenges such as poverty, climate crisis and inequalities etc. This module aims to equip students with the knowledge to understand the complex environments in which social enterprises operate, as well as the challenges associated with setting up, growing, and managing them. In addition, this module will provide opportunities for students to work on real-life economic, social, or environmental problems, and help them develop their problem-solving skills, teamwork, and presentation skills.

Systematically understand key aspects and challenges of leading social
enterprises

Demonstrate critical awareness of social problems and the role of social
entrepreneurs addressing these problems.

Critically review the role and impact of social entrepreneurs in the society

Collaboratively, creatively, and systematically deal with challenges of
addressing social issues
